Fellow Escapists, I was hoping that you may be able to take some time to offer me with some advice and help on this predicament I'm finding myself in.
Basically, I have a mac, and Airport, which turns my ethernet into a wireless signal, I borrowed a friend's Xbox Wireless Adaptor, and attempted to connect to Xbox Live.
Unfortunately, the modem was "unable to connect to Xbox servers and sites".
Is there anything I can do with my modem to fix the problem.
Or, is there some kind of receiver I can buy that will turn the wireless connection into an ethernet one?
(Note: I've looked all over the Xbox Support site)

Right, is Airport a Router or is it just a little plug in for your Mac specifically?

Xbox Lve wireless needs to go through a Router, although there's probably a jerry rigged fix out there on the web.

No, I mean that I'm connecting to Xbox Live with my Xbox, but through a Mac router.

It connects to my modem, and sends a signal out.
What do you mean a Jerry rigged fix?

I'm having a similar problem at the moment in trying to connect both a Macbook Pro and XBox to the webbernets simultaneously - they don't seem to be able to use the same form of wireless security (Mac wants WPA, XB wants WEP).

Trying to connect an "Apple" machine with a "Microsoft" machine seems like a theory. If someone could underline the word theory now...
