Ditto. There's so much subliminal stuff it sickens me. The stuffy suit, the fat PC guy, the "hip, trendy" Mac. Apparently Mac had now flaws and doesn't get angry.TOFUM4ST3R said:Well, the commercials make me want to go to the nearest Apple store and beat the silicon out of every computer there, and they have also made me more partial to Microsoft as a whole than I would have been without them. I always knew microsoft was just one step from a namechange to skynet.Grand_Poohbah said:I think of it as almost a friendly competition. PC even made a funny counter ad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi1se9rH7S8

Agreed. I even prefer Mac over Windows (I don't want to talk about it, leave me alone) but the commercials have gotten stupid. Mac does nothing but bash PC about Vista. The commercials were awesome, although admittedly one-sided, when they pointed out actual differences between the OS's and benefits of Macs, but now it just rides the "Bash Vista" waveChickenlittle said:Ditto. I'm actually bothered by the Windows advertisement with the little kid. I know they're going for the "It's so easy, I can do it and I'm only 8!" idea but it wouldn't be hard to raise a kid knowing nothing BUT Windows, especially at that age. Am I supposed to believe that she really made an educated decision among all the possible OS's and variations out there to stick with Windows at the age of 8?Pyronox said:It was cute in the beginning, but after a while, Mac's adds become more and more desperate. And annoying.
Then PC totally crushed Mac with the kids saying "I'm a PC and I'm 8 years old" and the like.
Which is rather true because real life doesn't have a white sheet in the background.
Also Windows 7 looks great.
They didn't start out that way, but essentially that's what they've become =(Ago Iterum said:PC adverts focus on selling their own product, where Mac adverts seem more focused on... Making us not buy PC's. It's like the Tesco Vs Asda adverts in the UK. Tesco are all about advertising their shop, and Asda are all about slating Tesco. It's funny.
Sorry, look to my display picture... I hang with the penguin.JRCB said:Umm... Mac never actually bashes PC. It appears to be the opposite, actually.
EDIT: I wouldn't want to be friends with either of them. I'd rather chill with Linux, who would probably be a giant penguin.
