So apparently,Machinima now has brawl,which brought me to assume they never had a contract with the Escapist website OR that said contract expired?

Your post is misleading. Brawl is usually our shortened version of Super Smash Bros Brawl, not the internet-only series There Will Be Brawl. But, on topic...ok? Not really sure what to make of that. Full series is still on The Escapist...so...kazaa? Boo? Rejoice? A bit moot, really.
