So yeah, the Madden 12 article is up on IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/116/1164606p1.html) and here's my bone to pick: Seems to me like EA has spent the last five years or so trying to replicate all the minutiae of American football, without any luck improving the actual gameplay mechanics. Anyone else who regularly picks up the new Madden each year skipping 2011?

I haven't picked up a madden title in over 10 years. Mainly because it's they're charging 60 bucks for what is essentially DLC.

They games go through a...decent...overhaul every 3-4 years. The mechanics added/removed over the course of a few years basically make a sequel. Other games franchise basically goes through minor tweaks each iteration, but you don't hear the sports' game haters bitching about that.
