American Football is one of those things that look so unexplicably weird from across the Atlantic that I'm sure I'll never understand them.

I don't get that either.
To be fair, only the English play cricket (and I guess it's kind of a snob sport even there and better juxtaposed with Baseball, if my sources are correct). Everyone else plays soccer.

I want the Saints to win but, personally, I think the Colts will win. I think that for one reason and one reason only, my entire life, the team that I went for for the Super Bowl has lost. I doubt that this Sunday will be any different.

Damn straight the Saints will win. Overall they are a much better team than the Colts. Saints have the run, pass, and defense needed to be Super Bowl champs. All the Colts have is Manning. And I'm rather tired of hearing about how great he supposedly is. I was calling this game 37-30 Saints over Colts, so the Madden simulation is pretty close to my prediction.
Did you see the Saints barely win against the Vikings? I actually expected more from the Saints. And Manning is that good. What defense has been able to hold him back this year? None of them. The colt defense is better than it has been in the previous years, so I think they can put some pressure on brees and stop the run. Either way it will be a fun game to watch, unless the Saints fall apart because they have never been this far before.

I will laugh at all you people when the Colts win.

The irony here is that Canadian football really isn't all that different from American football.

Yeah the only one they missed was the Giants beating the Patriots that year that the Patriots were undefeated. But it took a miracle catch from a guy who now washes cars for a living. They said not even Nostrodomus could have predicted that final.

The Saints do NOT have the D to withstand Manning. They were outgained by 200 yards against Minnesota, and then the refs gave them the game in OT.

And all the Colts have is Manning? What about Clark, Wayne, Collie, Garcon, Freeney (maybe), Mathis, Brackett, Bethea and Hayden? The Colts were the number 5 scoring defense (the only defensive stat that matters) until they sat their players in the last two weeks. They've only given up 20 points in two playoff games.

Don't be so sure that the Saints are going to win. Manning is playing at his highest level since 04.

We just have less down than the NFL, and a few other little rule changes. Personally I love watching football and its my favorite sport to play after Hockey and Basketball

just
bigger balls(both from less roids and the literal size of the ball), only 3 downs, longer field, bigger endzones, rogue point.
they make a difference if you pay attention to football, american is practically easymode for offence.
and we still put up decent scores!

anyway:
really don't care for the saints, like most of the southern teams, was really hoping to see colts/vikings tomorrow, but alas, all there is is to say:
[HEADING=1]GO COLTS[/HEADING]

Oh i have to say it again. Colts 34 Saints 17...dont care what this has to say, it doesnt factor in how crapy the saints have been playing and how lucky they got against the vikings...also vegas has the colts winning soo um yea...they have more to lose. The vegas line started above 3 from the get go, if the wise guys had any confidence in the saints winning it wouldnt have gone over...its around 5 1/2 - 6 now.
hahahh... Vegas line. Someone doesn't remember how badly St. Louis was favoured over New England and the then unknown Tom Brady emerged a hero.

On a side note: Does any one know which of the last six years it predicted incorrectly?
Yes yes...but this is Peyton Manning we're talking about. Well and good for the saints to have gotten here (i honestly could care less about the katrina thing) but this time their poor play will come back and bite them in the ass, the vikings gave that game away. No two ways about it. I would take manning with two weeks preparation over any team the way he is playing right now.
Ahem... you were saying????

Never trust the Vegas line.

So it correctly predicted both the winner and the MVP. Pretty damn impressive I would say!

Eh, I'm not too big of a fan for either team, and I lost most of my care the same time the Vikings lost, but this prediction surpises me. I feel like I should invest money in this game and start making sports bets...

So, yeah, I went to the French Quarter after the game. N.O. was flipping it's shit. People dancing on cars (moving cars, mind you), yelling, making no attempt to hide the fact that they were urinating on the streets...
