No,but most likly theres going to be missions with timers.

(also am I the only one to notice that one of the outfits in the demo is the same red shirt black pants combo from the godfather 2 game?)

Ya Mafia 2 will be free roam, I'm sure some missions will have timers just like in Mafia 1.

Mafia 2 won't be free roam in the traditional sense, if it's anything like the original.
In GTA, for example, you can run around and do whatever between missions.
Not so in Mafia. You are always on a mission. There isn't a time where you can just 'run around'. This info is all based on Mafia 1, however, and some things might have changed. I hope it hasn't, though, because while Mafia isn't as 'free roam' as GTA, it's story was might tighter, leaps and bounds more interesting, and very entertaining.

You could still bomb around for a while when they say 'go here' without a time limit, but otherwise: It's actually more tightly controlled. And I, for one, love it.

As do I. I loved the strict linear story set in an open world. It made the city feel alive, even if the pedestrians might not have acted like they do in GTA if you point a gun at them. Because you shouldn't be pointing a gun at them. You're Mafia, not Jack the Ripper.
