Wow I still reference things the magic school bus taught me and I can probably place it as a huge influence in my decision to get a science degree!

That happened to me a few months ago with Reboot, i promptly went on youtube and watched the entire series over a weekend and its even better now because I understand all the computer jokes that I didn't quite get as a kid!

While I don't go out of my way to rewatch them when I see re-runs of shows like Round the Twist or Arthur or even The Powerpuff Girls I get filled with nostalgia, but I must admit I've pulled out old VCR's of Toy Story and Postman Pat more than I would like to say (that gets the best nostalgia, not only is it the show in-of-itself but still watching on the same VCR you did when you were a toddler).

I watched Daria today.

So good. So, so good.
I thought I was the only one who watched that show as a kid, whenever it comes on ABC now and I see old episodes I'm like "Woah, did all of this stuff just go over my head as a kid?".

Well, on Tuesday I saw Ed Edd 'n' Eddy for the first time since the show was canceled a year or more ago...
That wasn't cancelled, it just ended

And ended wonderfully

I pretty much rewatch those online and sometime I search Youtube to listen to their op song or any of the show greatest scene e.g.-

"I am Vengeance. I am the NIGHT. I AM BATMAN!"

Goddamn Batman: He solves his emotional problems while dangling from a blimp.

Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish Samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. (SWISH, SWISH, SWISH) Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku!

I remember watching all kinds of cartoons when I was little. I mostly watched stuff on Nickelodeon though.

Rugrats
Rocket Power
Hey Arnold!
Spongebob Squarepants (back when it was still good)
The Wild Thornberrys
Rocko's Modern Life
Jimmy Neutron
Are you Afraid of the Dark?
The Amanda Show
Slime Time Live
The Fairly Oddparents
Invader Zim
Kenan and Kel
Cousin Skeeter

Goddamn. Those were the days. Nick is just really just a shadow of it's former self now though.

Arnold still seems as much a downer then ever, wonder what he grew up to be?
Arnold wasn't a downer, it was just realistic, and it ended on a positive note to.
Everytime he heard the word field trip he would groan, who groans about magical field trips?
I just realized you ment Arnold from the Magic School Bus. I was talking about Hey Arnold. MSB Arnold had completley legitimate reactions to being shrunken, transformed, and put into danger on a regular basis by his teacher. I think his cousin almost died in one epsiode beacuse they were in space.

My gosh, nostalgia rush... I frakking loved that cartoon back when I was a kid. That was probably one of the best educational cartoons ever created. They just do not make them like that anymore... And now I feel old for saying that.

OT: Ah, the golden days of children's animation. Animanaics, Pinky & The Brain, Fairly Odd Parents, old Spongebob, Rugrats, Powerpuff girls, Batman: TAS, The Tick... I have watched most of those shows recently, and they are still awesome 10-15 years later. They really knew how to make back in the good ol' days...

Damn I remember the Magic School Bus! I really liked that show when I was really young. I even got a couple of it's computer games.

As for some of the other old cartoons that I liked and love to watch nowadays are Dexter's Lab and Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

I just read that in Aku's voice, as I should.

I watched MegasXLR again

I still like it
Because it's awesome.

OT: I watched Sailor Moon earlier today, and it does not hold up well to childhood memories.

Oh man, old cartoons. I've been watching a billion on youtube, but the one that sticks out in my head is Spider Riders. Giant mecha spiders are less frightening than normal spiders, this is a fact.

I miss when cartoons were good :(
