The rules have changed a lot since magic 10 came out...and some in not so good ways.

Otherwise the game is pretty much the same old game but with more ridiculous cards.

OP: Now's a weird time to get back into competitive magic... at least in standard. You'd probably enjoy the older formats more.
I recommend doing some booster drafts if you want to get new stuff.
