Played on Xbox and liked it quite a bit.

I know it's not the same, but it's still rather enjoyable and has a strange skill set that I quite like.

I mean I suck at it, but it's still fun.

Ah yes, good ol' times...

I used to carry two decks with me when playing. my favorite one featuring Akroma nd Reya for some good, old-fashioned angel asswooping using crytic gateway and a load of angel-tokens. Having Akroma out on the field some time in the third turn or so made a lot of faces fall apart in horror.

And then there was my White/Red/green Naya-Deck full of huuuge beasties. (Well, Yaya, duh.) ... I ussaly picked that one when Akroma lost, as a matter of "You asked for it."

I may be harboring traditionalist sentiment; but I still frown on multi-colored decks. Bi-coloured was the max, to prevent mana shortages. However, I think game mechanics have evolved far enough for power gamers to pull off combos that dissipate the issue.

Just shows how old I am lol

I used to play consistently, but college takes money away from that hobby.
Nevermind that I prefer the Legacy format (now that Wizards effectively killed Extended), but to even begin to compete in that you need to sink some absurd amount of money just into your manabase (Revised duals are up to 100 bucks a pop. Fucking retarded) unless you're running a rogue or wildcat deck.

For now, I help my friends create Standard competitive/constructed decks when I'm not picking through their junk drawer rares to make hilariously bad decks.

Me too actually I have never played the format before and well I built this deck that costed me less than 30 dollars to play which is awesome cause if I beat anyone I can rub it in there face I won with a deck worth a fraction of there's. You might be thinking how can you win with a deck worth so little well it is mostly cause it is just bloody fast 26 out of my 40 cards (excluding land obv) are all one drops while the rest are 2 with the exception of 6 3 drops and I have dark rituals for excel on top of it all.

It should be interesting to see how well you do. I absolutely love legacy, it is by far my favourite format. It can be very competitive though and most of the decks are really really good. I play dredge myself and its probably the most fun to play out of any deck I own. It is also the least fun deck to play against ever though. Although I traded for most of the cards the deck is worth around $200.

nice that's actually pritty good for legacy as far as prices go I am actually nervous about running into dredge because I am playing discard and the whole theme depends on my opponent not having any cards in hard so dredge can really mess me up. If you have a copy mind if I see your deck list so I can kinda see what to expect if it isn't to much of a hassle. I'm a little nervous I don't want to go in and get stomped

I dont enjoy it.

Ive always beena yugioh person, and (at least where I live) all of the magic players are assholes who have some kinda god complex where they think they're better than everyone else. And they have this hipster mentality that makes me want to punch them in the face as soon as they start talking.

Plus I tried to get into it, and i just didnt enjoy the mana cost.

and im soething of a hipster about it cause i dont like it since its become so popular (again). Waht with all the LLR sketches that involve the cards, the way its becoming popular again on my campus, and the general attitude that seems to float around that its more "mature" than the other card games cause it doesnt have a children's cartoon sharing its name.

I cant give you a list of my deck because I am at work right now and I dont like giving exact lists of my deck out anyways. Here is a link to a fairly standard dredge deck. They are all alittle different but this one has pretty much all of the basic cards in it.

If you want some anti dredge cards in black then these ones are perfect. The leyline is also really good against other matchups especially Zoo. Dredge if given the option will always go second so they get to draw as this normally speeds up their deck.

Wow, pretty neat. Any idea why you chose vampires? And if I'm not mistaken why not go for the newer Innistrad (instead of Zendikar). That has loads of vampires and zombies.

I used to both work, and play, with MtG since I worked in the only store in the area that both sold it and ran official tournaments.

These days I pretty much limit myself to the online games, like Duels of the Planewalkers, I don't have the funds nor the inclination to travel long distances where I now live to play wiht a bunch of teenagers.
