Man, greedy Northern half of the hemisphere, hogging all the fun...clear night last night, not even a hint of awesome magnetic storms down in Texas...bummer. Well, if the sun's still all stuffed, maybe we'll get some of it.

Whenever I hear the term "coronal mass ejection", it always reminds me of a particular episode of Stargate SG-1.

It's a shame I missed this, because I've always wanted to see one.

this is beatiful but dangerous. our magnetic defence is already weaker than it used to be and this is certainly not helping. also top solar activity is not due on 2013, its due on 2032.

I'm in Iceland, a prime location for observing Aurora Borealis.

Last night was cloudy with pouring rain.
