The idea behind this is simple: Pick some songs from games, and then put them together in a score or soundtrack. List how they would be used in a story. You dont have to do the whole thing, just certain moments where you think the music would be appropriate. Add links if you feel like it.

Fight Sequence: Blinded By Light (Dissidia 012)
Chase Seqeunce: Crisis City-The Flame (Sonic 06)
Narrow Escape: Theme of Nemesis (Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3)
Fighting a Friend: Subuta.1 (No More Heroes 2)
Depressing Seqeunce: Icarus (Deus Ex: HR)
Final Battle: U.B. (Parasite Eve)
Heroes Escape: The End Run (Mass Effect 2)
Credits: Setting Sail, Coming Home (Bastion)

I did this like ten years ago for a story I wanted to write, taking music mostly from Square games (FF9, FF8, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, etc.) and putting it into some kind of order.

That cd is long gone. Couldn't do it today as I have no video game music and don't really care that much about video game music anymore.

Sorry, was I not clear? I just meant list the songs you would use, not actually make a CD of them. Though TBH, that does sound like an awesome tape you made there.

No, I understood the topic. I was just telling stories.

Fight Sequence: "Mugetsu - Destruction" - The Bouncer
Chase Sequence: "Level 5" - Earthworm Jim (Yup, I brought EWJ to this party)
Narrow Escape: "Snake Vs. Hind D and MG Rex" - Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Fighting a Friend: "Bitores Mendez" - Resident Evil 4 (The Tone doesn't really match, but if you are fighting your friend, The music should feel a little dark)
Depressing Seqeunce: "Meryl's Death" - Metal Gear Solid
Final Battle: "Anubis and Ha'Tak Hanger" - Stargate (SNES)
Heroes Escape: "A Shot of Crisis" - Chrono Trigger
Credits: "Smiles and Tears" - Earthbound

You can find all these songs via youtube, just type in the song title and the game I chose.
