I was actually thinking about a similar idea for gaming. Bring in another sense. Although all you'd smell in most games is cordite, smoke, and blood. Still would be kind of cool, although I doubt it'd be as great an idea as I imagine it to be.
Haven't you ever played Earthbound? It came with a scratch and sniff card. :)

The world of tomorrow is finally here! What a momentous occasion! I must sip champagne while wearing a top hat and monocles!

Other than that, I wonder what YouTube, Google, and Fanfiction.net smell like.
I don't know how The Big G & FF.net smell, nor do I want to know.

And when one considers the fact that Youtube is "where the poop is"...

I imagine it to be smoke remember where there's smokes they pinch back either that or toast...or dinner one of those things

No, bad. Bad idea! Do not let this technology get advanced. EVER! Just imagine the smell of reddit: BO, pizza, cheetos, and procrastination. Not to mention /b. I'd be very suspect of any website that offered this feature that ostensibly doesn't sell flowers of perfumes...

EDIT: Say, hypothetically speaking, if I were to visit a site dedicated to pot...uhm, yes, what would this thing do?

So wait... you set your own smells to sites, rather than sites setting smells?

so you're paying fora really expensive and unnecessary air freshener?

Fantastic.

That's... interesting I guess. Still, I wonder what the internet as a whole smells like.
I'm gonna guess crotch, yeah crotch seems about right.

Can't say I've ever even heard of it. From the name, I assume it doesn't involve manly US marines shooting up Russians.

It's a hilarious JRPG, it and its sequel, Mother 3, are definitely well worth playing, even if you dislike JRPGs immensely like me, their hilarity counteracts the JRPGness. Though Mother 3 was never released outside Japan, so that would be up to you to find it for yourself.
