I could really understand the hate towards the original Xbox 1 it seemed like a client on a console meaning it had benefits but was really fucking annoying.

but now I hear about a petition to put it back after getting it changed?

you can't have it both ways people pick one!!!!!!!! (no pun intended)

What, do you think the same people who argued against it are now suddenly arguing for it?

Friend, there's about 7 billion people on earth, it's not one single group that handles EVERYTHING related to Xbox One.
What he said. The people who started that petition are not the same people who were arguing against it. Don't be so silly, OP.

Also, the petition is signed by, like 4k people, max. Not to mention that the people who were all for Xbox One were around here as far as the original announcement goes. It's not like 100% of the people were against it at all times.

You make up your mind, OP - try to make it up right and not throw useless accusations.

I've yet to see someone here who was for the previous version. What in Valhalla are you talking about? It's not like that petition is gonna be taken seriously by anyone against the previous version (which is like, most of the world), plenty of the people on this site or Microsoft.

Well this just seems like a textbook case of mistaking the entire gaming community for a vast, all-encompassing hivemind...

Glory to the Many. I am a voice in their choir.

In all seriousness though, as several have already stated, the two groups of people you are talking about are not the same people.

I can understand why these people want the old Xbox 1 back. The ideas it had were promising. Sharing games online with friends, this would give sharing without the need of discs. A family library. All that stuff was rather neat. The ability to share and do everything online with friends was a good selling point.

The execution was flawed. Sharing came at a price. Region locks, only partial game sharing (without paying), no second hand games, mandatory Kinect, always online. For me the cons way outweigh the pros, and I feel that some of the people who want the old Xbox 1 reinstalled are not fully aware of all the cons personally. That or perhaps they really do want it. It's up to them. All I know is that it's not going to happen, Microsoft is out to make money, and they're not going to satisfy a minority.

There are about a thousand signatures on the petition. The creator of it says that this thing shouldn't have to be an all or nothing dead and in that point, i agree. You should still be able to buy and sell the purely digital games and i see little reason as to why microsoft abolished that as well; they're acting like the kid who's taking his ball and going home.

Most of the signatures are probably trolls. Some People would want for microsoft to vanish from the console market because they fear that they will be a force to limit our freedoms in gaming in the future.

So Microsoft should bring that DRM and then never be seen in the gaming market again :p

Personally i think the petition is either a huge troll , or a bunch of dipshit microsoft fanboys or more microsoft toadys going online and trying desperatly to put there bullshit money grab drm crap back in. Or a really weird atempt at sony marketing lol.
