So guys, do you like girls that wear make up? Do you think it should be used to accentuate beauty or cover over the fact that you're ugly as hell?

I personally prefer girls who wear little to no make up. As a girl myself, I understand that a small amount of make up can make you feel more confident about your appearance, but I also think that girls who have the confidence to wear none are ridiculously sexy.

I wear a bit of powder everyday to help disguise blemishes and mascara to make my eyes look a little bigger because they're kinda small, but I find that any more make up doesn't suit me since I have small features. I understand that this is different for every woman

Girls, have you noticed different reactions when you don't wear make up?

And yes, search bar blah blah blah fuck you I was here when this thread was done last.

tl;dr: Do you like make up?

I personally think that a little bit of make up looks good but anyything more and it starts looking ridiculous, if the cosmetic industry suddenly crashed i would be quite happy and it would save ALOT of woman a serious amount of money that they spend to make themselves look worse.

Depends on the girl. I generally like as little obvious make up as possible, but I do like eye liner on some girls.

Little to no make-up is a general preference, if the girl wants to wear it then I have no judgement, although I think it looks horrible when it is caked on.

Normal mascara (none of that extension stuff) and eyeliner are the only types I generally like the look of.

I do like the 'goth' look on girls though so when it comes to those kind of girls it changes slightly. Not much, just black lipstick if they have black hair can look great.

i hate looking like an orange so i tend to go for minimal makeup although my fiance claims he likes me the same without make up too, which is a good thing as we're moving in together next week hehe

I agree. As long as they're not exaggerating with the make up jar, I don't mind a bit of eyeliner. Especially if it's for a special occasion.

I don't think women or girls need to wear make up in the daily life. It loses its touch if it's used regularly.

I like a little bit of make-up to accentuate beauty, but some of these girls out there look like prostitutes with their make-up on. I'd rather a bland girl with no make up rather than one of those.

EDIT:

Sorry I never get to do that.
No problem. That's one of the few of Yahtzee's quotes that isn't being overused and thus is still funny.

All natural for me, please. None of my girls usually wore make-up, except maybe when we went out to a really fancy dinner or attended a wedding or something of the sort. They didn't like the stuff, and neither do I. There's something weirdly alluring/compelling about a confident woman who comes across as being happy with just being herself.

It depends. Most days I just wear concealer to cover up any blemishes and a bit of mascara. But if I have to go to something important, like a special dinner, wedding, and so on, I wear a bit more make up.

I think that most people would agree with me when I say that its ok to wear some make up, but wearing too much makes you look like a clown. A clown thats not funny.

Definitely little to no makeup. I also hate women wearing coloured nail polish and have yet to find a bloke who does

A little is good, enough to accentuate little things about a girl's face that make you notice them all the more. If it's done properly the overall effect is stunning. But if they wear none then it's just as awesome because you can see that they're confident with themselves. Too much is just a massive turn off though :z

Not, at least when they are wearing it too much. Allthough, having a heavier make-up can work if they are dressed up fancy, but in a day-to-day life, no.

I'll agree with the most of men on this thread that it's largely contextual. It depends on the girl, but I really like how they described it on Castle:

"News flash: she already has body-image issues, it's an intrinsic part of being a woman. Every woman in the world has some part of herself that she absolutely hates. Her hands are too small, her feet are too big, her hair is too straight, too curly, her ears stick out, her... Oh god, her butt's too flat, her nose is too big. And, you know, nothing you can say will change how we feel. What men don't understand is: the right clothes, the right shoes, the right make-up. It just, it hides the flaws we think we have. It makes us beautiful, to ourselves, and that's what makes us beautiful to others"

1. What blokes think is 'no makeup' is probably skin-coloured foundation and mascara.

2. If you do genuinely like no makeup on girls, then you're looking at particularly beautiful girls.

I only wear enough foundation to make it look like my skin is naturally good, and I do wear varying amounts of eye makeup. It's definitely no lie to say I get more attention when I go out if I have contacts and lots of eye makeup than glasses and just mascara (I'd never go out with no makeup, I just really dislike how it looks on me). So I say "whatever" to all the guys who say 'nooo we like girls with no makeup.'
