I live in Dubai, and a lot of women I see put make up on. I'm not talking about regular amounts, I mean SHITLOADS.

Really, I'm walking around Mall of Emirates with a bunch of friends and I see a woman walking with her husband and daughter with a fuck-ton of eyeshadow, and eyeliner all over her face like she uses catapults to apply her makeup.

Not the only case either. Some girls who put make up on put so much of it they look like Barbie dolls. I find make-up to be attractive if it's a reasonable amount, but if you're using truckloads of it, you have a either a serious self esteem problem, or your image of yourself is fucked up.

well... i once dated a girl that i thought looked amazing.... one day i went into her room and found out she had like a hundred different kinds of products about make up in her room...

i turned around and asked her "how do you look in reality!?!?!?"

since then i ussually like less heavily made girls, perhaps some eyeliner and lipstick, but not the whole 3 Oz of make up some girls get.

My wife likes to put a little bit on, but nothing even close to the 'heavy' category.
It's all about moderation. The right amount, and type, of makeup can really do wonders...but as soon as you start with the layering...and blending...then we run into situations where people think the girl is frowning, but really her face is just sagging with the weight of all that crap on her face.

Moderation, girls! Moderation!

Little to no make up is always best. Women who use too much always seem too fake, or that they're trying to hide something.

Personally, I think make-up is silly...

I understand why some people, insecure as they are, might put it on to feel a bit prettier. This is, however, the easy way out. I don't think people should be ashamed of their appearance.

Also, I'm not a big fan of perfumes. I hate when I'm walking through the corridors in school, and then walking past someone who's wearing a perfume. It gets harder to breath and it stinks as hell. I'm not a big fan of strong scents if I'm not going to eat (no pun intended) the source of it.

PS. Sometimes (usually) make-up just looks plain creepy...

So guys, do you like girls that wear make up? Do you think it should be used to accentuate beauty or cover over the fact that you're ugly as hell?

I personally prefer girls who wear little to no make up. As a girl myself, I understand that a small amount of make up can make you feel more confident about your appearance, but I also think that girls who have the confidence to wear none are ridiculously sexy.

I wear a bit of powder everyday to help disguise blemishes and mascara to make my eyes look a little bigger because they're kinda small, but I find that any more make up doesn't suit me since I have small features. I understand that this is different for every woman

Girls, have you noticed different reactions when you don't wear make up?

And yes, search bar blah blah blah fuck you I was here when this thread was done last.

tl;dr: Do you like make up?
I agree with you here. A little is ok but you can't fix ugly.

I don't use make up. Never have and I doubt I ever will. I just don't bother, can't be bothered to sit there and apply it. Not even foundation or mascara or anything. Even on special occasions I just can't be bothered.

Girls who wear a little make up and still look natural are fine. But people who cake it on are wasting their time. It doesn't help them, just makes them look worse.

Depends really, but most girls need to learn that when it comes to make-up, less is more.

That was possibly the gayest thing I've said on this forum (Elton John gay, not "halo is gay" gay).

It depends. Most days I just wear concealer to cover up any blemishes and a bit of mascara. But if I have to go to something important, like a special dinner, wedding, and so on, I wear a bit more make up.

I think that most people would agree with me when I say that its ok to wear some make up, but wearing too much makes you look like a clown. A clown thats not funny.
I can handle mascara and a bit of eye-liner, but I absolutely hate girls who cake it on and say it looks better.

No it doesn't. It makes you look stupid. There is a girl in my school who wears at least have a whatever of foundation to cover her spots, it really isn't helping her. Heavy make-up makes me sick.
Same here. I used to know a girl in my class who put on so much concealer that by the time she was done the color of her face was a completely different than the normal color of her skin.

I wear a little powder, and some days if I'm up to it, I use a little bit of mascara + eyeliner. Depends on what I feel like, but I pretty much always go for the natural look. I have no bloody idea what the other girls think of it, but that's their problem. The boys don't care.

I like it when girls wear make-up that makes them look like they're not wearing any make-up at all; not when they glob it on their faces and end up looking like some photoshoped Cleopatra.

I'm not really too much into makeup. If a girl wants to wear it that's fine, but I usually don't find it all that attractive - a "meh" from me.

When I were make up I try to keep it looking as natural as possible, because I think too much make up can make you look funny. That being said I wish I knew how put on eyeshadow and eye liner better 'cause I think it can enhance the beauty of our eyes ^____^

Heavy make up should be banned by law.
I second you and your wisdom.
I just think that if I am going to like a girl, it's not going to be over make up or dressing in style (AKA: Like a Tart). Make up just ruins every bit of simpathy I will ever have towards a girl.

Nope. I dont get makeup. Especially heavy colored eyeshadow. I don't understand why any woman would want to make themselves look like a tropical fish with a hangover.

My main problem is with these girls that cake on orange foundation. I was once in class with a girl when our teacher asked her why she chose such an obvious and unflattering shade of foundation (she looked like she'd been Tangoed). I couldn't believe her answer: that she had to wear it like that, otherwise no-one would notice it, and wasn't that the whole point of wearing foundation?

Words failed me. I mean, I wear make-up. I like experimenting with colours and things, but I prefer to keep it subtle. I definitely don't dip my face in orange paint and assume it looks good.

I prefer girls with little or no make up.

But I generally prefer pale skin to tanned skin, which is probly why I prefer not tons of make up on a girl.

Having said that, sometimes when girls to little artsy things like style their eyeshadow and stuff I think it looks hawt as anything. But only when it's done right
