Making a GIF avatar

I found a GIF that I'd love to have as an Avatar, but I'm not sure how I would go about getting it to animate after it is resized.

I still have no idea how to use a gif as an avatar...

Anyway, is it resized by the Escapist or have you resized it with photoediting software? Might have to resize it before using it?

I did resize it, but once I did, it disabled the animation.

Well, I'm kind of useless here. Maybe visit the Avatar store group here on the Escapist? One of their members made me my avatar from a youtube video.
