Making a Short Film

So my computers class is having us produce a 10 minute film to show in our schools film festival. The rules are pretty simple keep them 10 minutes long, and pg-13. I'm have a few ideas, but don't know exactly what it takes to make a decent quality film. I know a few people here make youtube video, and stuff like that so I'm hoping to get some advice on the production. Also if you pitch ideas I'd appreciate it, as well as critique my inital idea.

Spoiler: my idea as of now

It will basically be a suspense thriller comedy shot in black and white with no dialogue. I will be following a "stranger" who fears I may be stalking her. my catch is that I'm barefoot and instead of hearing stomping closer, she hears the pattering of my feet, and I'd add in the sound of something like raw steak slapping against a counter with foley effects to make it silly. You know the music get's louder [sub]dum dum dum dum[/sub] dum dum dum dum DUM!!! with silly sound effects.

Well I reckon, with that type of non-speaking characters and whatnot, it might be a good idea to go all post-modernism on it and have an unreliable narrator, well, narrating the thing... but then give the narrator some REALLY STRONG opinions or something.

A narrator eh? Haven't even thought of that, that's awesome. If I use that should I put your name in the credits?

Use the Jaws theme..in the suspense areas where you're sneaking up on the person.

And if you do end up doing it then yes, I want to see "A Magic Hobo" in your credits.
