Make a rough plan.

I can't stress that enough. If you start writing without at least a rough idea of where you want it to go, it won't go anywhere.

I haven't written anything. But I did make a mod for Neverwinter Nights. I started like 4 years back and it's almost finished now, but I cannot believe how many times I redid different parts of it. I started out with no planning or idea whatsoever, I just made what came to mind.
Chaos ensued.

I have a good start into the first chapter thus far, introduction completed. i'll be posting it on a deviant art page for people to start seeing sometime tommorow =3 anyways, 4 paragraphs into chapter 1.
