They can be anyone from the gaming universe and the game can be any genre.

I would take Samus from Metroid and Isaac from Dead Space and put them both in a mixture of the Metroid and Dead Space universes.

People would never stop playing the resulting game.

Or at least i wouldn't.

April Ryan and the Master Chief. Just because of the complete and utter clash in their personalities and characters. Plus, the fact that April Ryan is my favourite female character in gaming right now, and I'm a massive fanboy of both the Longest Journey and Halo franchises.

Besides, it'd be fun to see April trying to figure out the Covenant and Forerunner technology in some weird obscure puzzle, or see the Master Chief shooting the hell out of the Azadi Empire soldiers and whatnot...

I would have Nathan Drake and Sam Fisher in a game that would resemble a buddy cop movie. Sam would do all the muscle tasks as such and Drake would provide the comedy. Although both could swap roles
