I am making some drinks this weekend for me and some good friends but I have no idea what oz means. I get that it is some kind of measurement but how mouch is for example 1 oz?

PS: sorry if the question is stupid and to give the thread a more general topic what is your favorite drink?

well, if all the measurements are in oz (ounces), don't worry about conversions, just keep everything in the same proportions.

proportions work even if you don't know the system.

In any event, 1 oz is roughly 30ml
thanks mate =)

I really want to make a wizard of Oz joke here, but I'm not sure how. Oh well. Pretend restraint and good taste stopped me, I suppose.

I was all set to make an Australia joke, but it's a bit late for that as well.

OT: See, the imperial system has its uses. Many of the important ones involve alcohol. For example, which sounds manlier: having a pint of beer, or having 500 milliliters of beer?
