I head off to return to the pool.

Literally no one is around the public pool.

 

[Saltarius]

"...Guys?"

 

[WafflesandBacon]

No one responds because no one is around to respond.

 

[Saltarius]

"ANYONE!?"

 

[WafflesandBacon]

"Mayhap you should try to check elsewhere for your compatriots." Speaks an apparition materializing next to Salt.

 

[Saltarius]

"Is that you, Mammon?"

 

[WafflesandBacon]

"Indeed." Says Mammon, in his usually dignified manner, "You don't need Detective Chimp to figure that out."

 

[Saltarius]

"What'cha trying to sell me today, Mephistopheles?"

 

[WafflesandBacon]

"Endless riches, enough harems to make an otaku blush in embarrassment, and, in short, faustian repercussions."

 

[Saltarius]

"What currency, and what women?"

 

[WafflesandBacon]

"Any and all that you may fathom."

"I'm sort of set on the latter. Riches though..."

Mammon chuckles to himself, "All this and more, my friend."

 

[Saltarius]

"Can I sell somebody else's soul?"

Mammon pauses for a moment, pondering. "Devilish." He says with a smile that is just as devilish, "Who do you have in mind?"

 

[Saltarius]

"Me from an alternate universe."

I shoot Mammon with a BB gun, because why not.

The pellet phases through Mammom, "We demons have mastered the concept of multiverse. You sacrifice yourself in another timeline, you sacrifice yourself in all timelines."
