"...Trilby, you can't 'fix' eyes. I was looking to maybe get a transplant. Y'know for one of my eyes. I can live with no depth perception."

The man nods and beckons me to a table.

"You can wait outside or go shopping Tril. This could take a while."

"When I said 'fix you', getting you a seeing-eye dog or magic GPS powers would be acceptable too."
I wander off.

 

[Saltarius]

"Well. That was quicker and less painful than I expected. Thanks doc."

I walk out of the clinic and find Tril.

"I think I can live with this."

"Well, I can see fine with the new one. It's kinda...weird feeeling but it seems fine. The other one still kinda burns when it comes in contact with like wind and shit, but when the patch is on it's well and good."

"I've been busy making sure I didn't break anything in the landing. Sister's been scouting the valley while you were out in town. She'll be back in a little bit."

"That's life erryday, Salt."

 

[Saltarius]

"No, I mean, Paddy fell off the face of the earth, Zombie snapped for no discernable reason, and Sis...you already know. And on top of that I get blinded and needed a transplant. Least' I got a bitchin' eyepatch. But I mean just...fucking everything has gone wrong for me today and I have good reason to assume Sis either hates me or doesn't care if I live or die."
