"That already happened, and It lasted about three pages. We need something else. Like a msyterious lan we have to investigate. Or a gigantic tree-bot we have to fight."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Well judging by the fleshy sound and the screams of pain it's presumably not the unharmable plant matter protagonist of the well loved Vertigo series."

 

[Saltarius]

"DC now. I dunno, maybe it's Anton Arcane."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Maybe it was Michael Clarke Duncan."

 

[Saltarius]

"Oh shit, that reminds me, Swamp Thing #0 and Batman #0 just came out. Wanna walk with me to the comic shop for them?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Sure, I need to look for Prophet and Orc Stain issues I haven't got yet."

 

[Sigma Castell]

"Why not just take them out of a tree, like me?"
I remove Batman #0 from a nearby tree.

 

[Saltarius]

"Sig, only fools take the ones from trees. I'm getting the variant cover from Andy Clarke."

I walk with Paddy.

 

[Sigma Castell]

"Gawd, fine."
I eat a pear.
"Whens Marvel rebooting their universe anyway."

 

[Paddy the Second]

We enter the shop. It is the comic store from my home city. Two grumpy looking middle aged men are sat at the counter playing Magic: The Gathering. The only new issue on display is the latest Walking Dead. Everything else on the stand is trade paperbacks. The are boxes full of old single issues. "Fuck."

 

[Saltarius]

I walk up to the counter.

"Any of you fine gentlemen mind pointing me to Batman and/or Swamp Thing #0?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

They look up at Salt and grunt. I search through the 'indy' boxes and find lots of Liefield and a couple issues of Cerebus. I whisper to Salt. "We should leave."

 

[Saltarius]

"But...Scott Snyder."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"What the fuck is happening? Why is everyone saying random names?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"He's not in here Salt. There is no one here but the misogynist old guard."

 

[Saltarius]

"There better be another fuckin' comic shop around or else Salt's gonna choke a *****."

"yeah i got agree with paddy on this one guys this is some old bullshit right here seriously Zomb, RaNDM G hurry the fuck up and finish the goddamn fucking quest so we can get the fuck out of here, seriously I've lost count how many goddamn pages we've spend in this fucking cave so hurry up so we can leave because this cave is starting to piss me off"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"We'd better be safe." I lead Salt out before barring the doors and breaking a window. I throw a Molotov through it.

 

[Saltarius]

I strangle Woon and follow Paddy on my skateboard.

"Any other shops around?"

"I see something promising." I step into a shop. "That's much better."
