I run past Paddy, and jump into the store. Getting to my feet, I narrowly avoid a falling stand, and grab the latest Adventure Time Comic.
I turn and leap back out through the window.
"That was close."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"You bastard Sigma!"

 

[Saltarius]

"Hey, you guys got any mainstream comics here?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

The latest issue of every Marvel and DC series is deposited in front of Salt.

 

[Saltarius]

I grab my comics and walk out.

"...Fuck. I just remembered I can't read these. Can you help?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Yes Salt, I'll read them to you." I pick up a bunch of Image comics and follow Salt.

 

[Saltarius]

"Alright, let's start with...Swamp Thing, I suppose."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Ok, let me just catch up." I read the wikipedia summary of the previous issues and set up my stereo. I read Swamp Thing to Salt.

 

[Saltarius]

"...You mean he seriously eats Alec's wife, wears her skin, and then blows up his house, sending him running while on fire into the swamp?"

 

[Paddy the Second]

"You think I'd make this shit up?"

 

[Saltarius]

"Damn, Scott Snyder is the most fucked up family man ever."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Looks like it. What next?"

 

[Saltarius]

"Animal Man #0 I guess."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"These things are so short. No wonder I only buy trades." I read Animal Man to Salt.

 

[Saltarius]

"Yeah, it's pretty much just the Red's side of Arcane fucking about. Onto Batman I suppose."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Well. Into the dark unknown." I read Batman.

 

[Saltarius]

"See, it's funny Red Hood appears because next month the Joker comes back."

"Hey guys, lets read Crossed!"
