I look back at the obliterated and flaming bus parts, then remember Trilby's rampage.
"Nope, but you can check if you want. I'm gonna jack some cars back in town if they didn't explode already, then pick you guys up."

"I edited the last post! ;-; Anyway, odds are no, but better to take a chance then fry out here."

I just look on at the horizon, not seeing anything on account of being blind.

"And we're...still so far away. Haha. Ahaha."

"Sure. I'll help. Maybe I can replace the MallMobile."
I shed a single tear for the Land Rover, now rusting inside a giant snake...

"Uh... I'm not even gonna ask about that."
I whip out my pistol as we approach the burning outpost.

"We had a Land Rover. I geared it up. A giant snake ate it, and Paddy. We killed it. We never got the MallMobile back."

I drive a large Land Rover up beside the others.
"Yeah..sorry about that..."
I rub the back of my neck.

I hear Sigma.
"Never mind. Just loot stuff."
I loot some metal panels lying next to a pile of ash, and climb on the miraculously unharmed bike, then drive back to the bus.

"Does Sigma always fuck the transportation up?"
I kick in the window of an idle Mustang and hotwire it, following Trilby.

 

[Saltarius]

"Sigma fucks everything up. Always."

I strip out the Mustang and Woon's Bike.
"Okay, MallMobile 2, coming right up!"
I being work on a large, spiked, ram for the front of the Land Rover.

"Duly noted, Salt. Oh yeah, didn't he bisect me with a plane wing?"

I start welding, blinding everyone in the vicinity except myself, thanks to my welding goggles.
And Salt, thanks to pissed off Anhur residents with access to bottles of powerful acid.

I shield my eyes from the bright sparks.
"Naw. It wouldn't be fun that way. We'd end up killing each other... more."

"Exactly. And, it would take longer. And then we'd get there only to find out the one way into the spaceport is via a busy motorway so we'd need to trek back here to get a vehicle to drive there."
I finish attaching the ram to a pair of large springs which are attached to the front of the Land Rover.
"Plus, this is safer."
I start cutting a hole in the roof of the Land Rover, above the back seats, to make a gunner's seat.

"So...Dot, you know just because you had one bad relationship doesn't mean you have to swear them all off. Unless you're like...a member of the Night's Watch."

Knife drives up in his warthog. "It turns out I could just have payed him. Good thing I have a fair amount of gold."

 

[Saltarius]

I pucnh Knife in the face and get into the Warthog.

"Fuck you, by the way."
