I stand up and stretch.
"So, I'm going to go back into the burning, anthrax-filled building of people who want to kill me to get some meaningless files for no reason."
I walk back into the police station.

 

[Knife-28]

"Bloody hell I can't take you bastards anywhere." Knife says, before walking off with Salt in tow.

I exit triumphantly, holding a carrier bag full of ash.
"I got the files, Kni-fuck."
I throw the ash-bag in a police officer's face and follow Knife and Salt.

 

[Saltarius]

"...For the record, I really don't want to do this. Become this again."

 

[Knife-28]

"Well Trilby, your a wanted criminal now." Knife says, putting a hand on his shoulder. "And as much as it pisses me off that you just slaughted an entire police precinct, that means you can be our inside man."

 

[Saltarius]

"Seriously Trilby, fuck you."

 

[RaNDM G]

The entire precinct respawns. Boy, do they look pissed.

The detective shouts at Knife and Salt and gives them the shake down.

"That man is a maniac! How the Hell can you stand him?!"

 

[Saltarius]

"Don't blame us. Our former employers couldn't seem to shake him either."

 

[Knife-28]

"What makes you think I can stand him." Knife says.

 

[RaNDM G]

The detective facepalms.

"Look, I didn't become Chief of this precinct just so this place could turn into another Mall. Just... Get him out of here, okay?"

 

[Saltarius]

"We'll try. Now I'm guessing we've got only the ability to act within the confines of the law?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"Yes, that's right. We're not like those slackers at 33. We do things by the book, by procedure."

He leans in close and whispers between the two.

[small]"Honestly, I don't care what you do as long as you catch the guys. Just don't let me catch you two knuckleheads if you do anything stupid."[/small]

He pats you both on the back and dismisses you.

 

[Saltarius]

"Alright. Let's do this shit."

I walk into a store, cane in hand over to the counter.

"Working with the local law enforcement. Have you been harassed by those Meurtos punks recently?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"No sir. Can't say we've had trouble with customers lately."

[Saltarius]

"Know anyone who has?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"Mmm... No. I, uh... Can't say I have."

[Saltarius]

"Buddy, listen. I'm blinder than a bat adn I can see you're withholding info. Spit it out before I make you."

 

[RaNDM G]

"Look, I don't want to get involved. They find out I said something, it's my neck that's next on the line. Business around here is slow enough as it is."

He leads you two outside.

"You see that pharmacy down the corner on 2nd? The owner there has been dealing with them about a week, didn't want to pay them out. They just robbed the place yesterday, took everything out of the safe. Twenty thousand, about a week's income. You might want to ask the guy down there."

 

[Saltarius]

"Trust me, they won't get you."

I load my revolver and set it in it's holster, then walk down to the pharmacy.

"Law enforcement. Tell us everything about what those Muertos douchebags have done to you."

 

[RaNDM G]

"Who, those nice gentlemen from yesterday morning? They stopped by and we had a nice chat about our neighborhood's security measures. They haven't done anything that would concern you, officers."
