I twist as Zombie flies towards me. With a snik, a blade slides out of my wrist, and I neatly bisect Zombie. Rolling over my side, I jump to my feet and continue running.

I slide along the floor, my entrails generously falling out.

I respawn in the lift with Trilby.
"We're fucked. Like, super fucked."

The lift doors open, and I step out, only to find that, due to the numerous crashes, there's now a small drop.
"Ow. Fuck."
I stand up and sigh as my legs get damp due to the water and cola-slime on the floor.

I walk over to the respawn matrix access computer, and start poking around inside Sigma's files.

The beam passes straight through it harmlessly. "I told you I wouldn't mind if you tried to kill me."

Knife walks out of a nearby store to see Sigma fall upwards to the roof. Sighing, he puts a finger to his ear and speaks into his radio. "Ok, what I miss?"

"Well, basically, Sigma is the terminator or something. Zombie and I are down at the respawn matrix computer, to try and fix Sigma. Also, most of the ship seems to be on fire and I'm regretting not wearing trousers."

"I didn't see a culturally ambiguous temple but my friends mentioned blowing one up. And these glitches look familiar. If this is anything like Space Funeral then one superpowerful being has gone to the most significant geographical location on this planet and hijacked reality."

"Well, that's lovely."

You watch as the town under the Castellan's protection is torn asunder by the graphic errors. The tavern in the shadow of the castle fragments, the walls splitting cleanly in two. The roof collapses on the drunken rabble. A cathedral on the far side of town fragments and separates into two, the parishioners on the upper floors falling to their deaths. Everywhere, townsfolk flock to the streets, falling on their knees, their heads touching the ground as they pray to their ambiguous God.

"We must hurry. This world does not have long."

The Castellan leads you away, down a winding staircase illuminated by candlelight.

"Many years ago, my forebears cast an incantation on this castle. It will keep whatever force is at work at bay, but not for long. I do not need to explain to you the importance of keeping a backdoor."

Your find yourself in the castle crypt.

"So uh, what's in the barrels?"

"Ah, there's the ticket."

The Castellan walks up to a barrel, one different from the others, stained dark from time and the age of spirits. He pulls on the tap, twisting the nozzle and swinging the trap door back. A door reinforced with iron lies in the back.

"You are the only other person who knows of this. Should we ever need a way back, this is our way in. Now come on. No time to dawdle about!"

The Castellan pushes the door, but jolts back as if shocked by lightning.

Strong steel chains on the other side bar the door from opening, throwing a tap in your escape plan. The look on his face changes from impatience to disgust.

nearby Sigma a door suddenly blows up and I step out of kicked up dust wearing a metal breastplate covering my torso, dark brown jeans, brown boots, a black duster and two pistol holsters, as I now carry two revolvers. I accessorized myself with a wide brimmed hat, two bandoliers and a pair of fingerless gloves "ah home sweet home! hey Sigma how's things?" I said walking over to him

I fire up my gauntlets and karate chop the chains.
