I use it, and I haven't had any problems with it. Can't guarentee it will get rid of that virus, though, it's pretty nasty. Good luck though.

I have like every anti-virus software, Malwarebytes is one of them although I haven't used it very long it seems to keep my system safe.

I use it in tandem with Avast! And that tends to do a pretty decent job of protecting my PC... I'll run a full scan every week or so...

It's definately the best anti-malware program I've used...

Malware Bytes is a good program to use to clean an infection. Its need for manual updates and lack of real-time protection in the free version makes it a runner up to other free AV programs such as AVG or Kaspersky

my norton let it in and is actively assisting it.
Weird, my Norton has stopped ever single one cold. What version do you use?

I myself use Norton AV enterprise 10 with good results. However the main way to stop a drive by malware infection is to not run your IE / Firefox / Chrome etc. with an account that has elevated privileges i.e Administrator. To learn how to not run your browser with elevated privileges check here http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Computer-Help Tip of the Day 1/14/10.

Oooh, if you got a Konfiker, your all but screwed. That virus even got into the UK Embassy.

Malwarebytes is more than legitimate--it's the single best antivirus and antimalware piece of software I've ever come across.

Irony! My father was running tech support (virus removal) on a few of our friend's PCs just a week ago. He used Malwarebytes for most of it.

Yeah, it's a good program to use. Good luck with killing that virus.

Yeah Malwarebytes is good. You want it. Simple to use, just update and run a scan weekly and there you go. Just make sure you have something else for the actual viruses, like Avast or Antivir...

I have been quite happy with Comodo. And haven't had a problem with viruses of any kind in years.

Best way to deal with the virus you have is to simply d a full System Restore through the Control Panel. I've had that twice now and both times I did the system restore, and it worked perfectly. In future as well, I woul recommend Norton 360. I had a Trojan Horse this morning, as soon as I fired up my laptop Norton deteced it, informed me, and had me restart the computer so it could get rid of the virus. Hour and a half later, everything's fine and has been for that entire time. Norton 360 is definitely one I'd recommend to anyone using Vista or Windows 7.
