Um...notice how the original article that your articles gives a link to says something completely different?

What doofus puts their CAR keys on a lanyard? House keys I can understand, but it doesn't take a genius to see how having "long, loose, looped rope" attached to "vital component of vehicle" would be a bad idea.

Yeah - tho I hate long, dangly things from car keys anyway. My partner has a longish chain (couple of inches) with a dongle attached. When driving, it has a tendency to hit your leg - don't really know how he can stand it lol.

I have my car keys and house keys separate - one of the reasons is so I don't have anything dangly and annoying on my car keys.
