Because I was just thinking "Fuck a smart business man who knows how to make GIANT ROBOTS, I want to see superman fight Niko Bellic".

Bruce Wayne (who is obviously pro vigilante) likes Superman
Isn't Bruce Wayne usually anti-vigilante, or at the very least dismissive of them, as part of his I'm-totally-not-Batman-you-guys persona?

You missed a few of my points, which I admit I was poor at conveying. To me, Lex has always been a "silver spoon" kind of guy, not "rags to riches." To be certain, it's an interesting wrinkle to make him "street tough," but it isn't quintessential Lex, IMO.
Bwuh? Most version of Lex Luthor that I've read involve him being an orphan or from some kind of abusive, blue-collar family background and dragging himself to the top by being ruthless and very, very clever.

I was one of the few people that didn't HATE the Hulk films, b/c I went in hearing that they were absolute crap. So I was satisfied when they were merely (or barely) competent. Maybe that'll happen here.
I know people hated the Eric Bana one, but the Norton movie is plenty of fun and I wasn't aware it was hated.

Of course, I loathed Man of Steel - though unlike the friend I saw it with, I managed not to walk out before the end - and so I really don't have very high hopes for this movie. It's a shame, because I'm way more of a DC guy than a Marvel one, yet Marvel's cinematic output is so many, many times superior to DC's that it's a little ridiculous.

I could see that working as an interesting interpretation of the character . . .

In the hands of a competent director, which Zack Snyder is not.
