So, I just got my cat back from the local pound after he was missing for two days. Might seem trivial to some, but I'm really glad he isn't dead. Smart cat, just has a tendency to wander. Now he's eating tuna in the kitchen. Sorry if this story was a bit boring. Anyway, escapists feel free to regale me with your tales of a bad situation turning good.

Ah, missing cat stories. Mine fell into the neighbor's cellar once through one of those ground openings. Missing for a day, I was worried, but on the second day, well, his tendency to respond to my voice finally got through again (must have been too scared to do anything the first day), so when I heard those crying meows from down below, all I could do was knock on the ground floor window and ask if they could let me in to pick him up.

A nice old lady opened up for me and when she opened the cellar door the poor rascal just darted for me and gave me a kitty cuddle of his life. I bought the nice lady a box of coffee for being kind enough to let me get him instead of telling me to get lost as some people would undoubtedly have done.

I'm glad you've got you're cat back :) What's his/her name?

I unfortunately lost my cat only a month or so ago. He went missing once before and we found that someone took him to the local vets which I could understand because he did look a state, he was old, covered in cysts and had no teeth bless him. We had to take his collar off because a cyst on his neck burst and was rubbing. But he was a happy cat and my family and I all looked after him really well. I just wish I knew what happened to him, he was old so I think I could cope with knowing he died but it's just the not knowing makes it worse.

Aw poor cat. I always hate the idea that pets get stuck somewhere when they're out of the house, it's a bit nerve wracking.

For me, the "relief" situation is every semester of learning ever, bahahahaha. I should never be allowed into a school that functions on steady learning. Fuck that, cram that sucker in a week before the end of the semester and pray.

(That actually hasn't been the case for a bit now, but it's still a constant concern)

Uhm... I think my life is too boring to have anything else worth talking about. My cat ran away once but then it fought off a raccoon and just swaggered back home like the beast he is. Had a fatty cut on his back though.

Ooh cat tales! (see what I did there?)
Our cat Sid was found crying on our doorstep as a kitten. NO MAN can ignore baby kittens in distress!!
Anyway long story short he is slowly driving me mad.

Also well done for finding your cat, I'd be gutted if I lost one of my animals

Me too, his name is Ghost. Yeah, it's a tad depressing when they get older. My brother's cat Owly wandered off in the snow somewhere one winter when old age caught up with him. No trace.

Haha, nice pun. Yeah, I'd be pretty bummed if I lost him. Had him since he was a kitten.
