No, to me desecrating an animal's body is using it for amusement, not sustenance.

But you don't need to use it for sustenance so it is just as unnecessary as what this man is doing. I doubt the animal thinks you are justified in killing it. Hence, you are desecrating its corpse.

Besides, the cat died of unrelated reasons. You, my friend, are a spectacular hypocrite.

A cat is a domesticated animal bred for companionship, cattle, etc are bread to feed people. I WISH i could be Vegan, but i love seafood too much! Desecration of a corpse, to me, is when someone takes a dead animal and uses it for entertainment, sport, or what have you. Don't call me a name, and call me "my friend" in the same sentence, even if it IS sarcastically. thanks.

Why did you know you would get called out for being a hypocrite? Probably because you were being a hypocrite.

You can make all the arbitrary distinctions you want. Cats and cattle may have been bred for different reasons but they are equally capable of feeling fear and pain. Don't burst in here self-righteously denouncing the "desecration of the body of an animal" when you support much worse practices (actually slaughtering the animals instead of simply using their previously deceased corpses) and justify it by saying you "like it too much".
