Gantz. As long as you don't mind a lot of nudity and gore, Gantz is great.
Gantz isn't really horror though. More scifi action.

OT, I don't know. When I saw this thread, I thought "Franken Fran" but since you've already read it....Museum of Terror is all I can say.

It's by the same guy who did Uzumaki.

Biomeat, though a little old and verging on the cheesy at times, is a cool sci fi horror manga that riffs on a lot of "outbreak" style movies.

Highschool of the dead: Starts as a knuckle dragging echi panty fest and only gets worse from there. But before it descends into complete shittiness there's a decent zombie tale to be had.

King of Thorns An interesting horror manga, with a cool art style and a heavy "Lost" vibe.

Higurashi no Naku koro ni: One of the few anime series that's actually inspired anything close to excitement in me in the past few years. The manga captures some of that magic though you occasionally have to suffer through some head pounding "FRIENDS 4 EVA" nonsense. The fact it's a fairly big budget release of a once homemade PC game is badass too.

I would debate you on this matter.. But you're mostly right. I think it has enough horror elements to make it enjoyable for those who like horror, even though it is heavier on the action than most.
and lighter on the sense. Like, holy shit, they're fighting aliens now?

I honestly wouldn't call it horror at all. No offense to your suggestion, I love Gantz.

It was actually the first Manga I ever read, but it definitely goes into the "action/scifi" category to me.

Though, I've only read up to 7, so I don't know if it gets more scary in later volumes.

You could try Umineko No Koro ni if you're into suspense, the supernatural and mystery with your horror. I'd also recommend King of Thorns, although it's more of a survival story than actual horror.

I was thinking on Elfen Lied, and I thought you were going to recommend it. But other than that I cannot say I've read much manga, nor I have been scared by any way for any printed way. Only once though, but that was on a book.
