Huh? Manliest anime?

Is that not like picking out the manliest contestant in a drag queen pageant?

More boyish than manly at best.

So I will pick a random stab in the dark and say....

Duh

Its title is "Ultimate Muscle" those are two of the manliest, boulder punching words in the dictionary, and it's about wrestlers, the manliest sport in existance.

Bible Black.

Obviously.
The tittle sounds interesting, is it about Christian mythology or something? Or is it at least loosely based on it?
It's Hentai...and often...disturbing.

My votes:

Bastard
Gurren Laggan
Trigun
Berserk
DBZ

(Edit: Oh and Guyver: bioboster armour, now that is manly. I also forgot ninja scroll aswell.)
Guyver was possibly THE MOST disappointing and biggest piece of crap anime I've ever watched! And I, for some ungodly reason, watched Colorful! (look it up) All over the case it says "hyper violence, you'll never see anything like it!" Excel Saga's violence is more hyper violent! [/rant]
What version did you watch, the 1980's OVA version, or the new one?

I've watched the orginal version, and it wasn't too bad.

I don't know much about the new one, but i heard they changed alot of scenes, and it's no way near as good.

Then their's the live action American version...Dear god.

New one. It was plastered "Hyper violence" all over the box set. Maybe the old was better, I don't know but when I see Hyper Violence, I think Gantz, Hellsing Ultimate or Elfen Lied. Guyver was a lot closer to Pokemon than anything.

That surprises me, as I remember the original being very gory.

The new had like....NO gore. Maybe a lost limb or a hole blasted through someone. But it was really really toned down.

That surprises me, as I remember the original being very gory.

Fist of the North Star.

I see no contest. Kenshiro makes anything manly, even weeping for your fallen enemy.

Seriously!? that sucks, and here was me thinking that i was going to purchase it, because I had fond memories of the orginal Guyver series.

Here's the awesome opening.

I'm a bit uncertain how Gurren Lagann is the slightest bit manly.

I have to agree with the Fist of the North Star crowd, it's really not much of a contest.

In distant second I'll toss in Golgo 13, which I'm amazed hasn't been mentioned yet.
