Gears of War, God of War, Crackdown (like, 10 to 15 USD and it consists of you basically kicking people off buildings or blowing up their cars if they're on the road), Prototype, Ratchet and Clank (come on, there is a gun that fires out tornadoes, POISON TORNADOES), Saints Row 2 (throw a fat chick into traffic? YES F***CKING PLEASE!), thats all I can think of right now.

I suppose if manly means lacking of any real storyline and allowing you to shoot things then you could also say Left 4 Dead and Borderlands would be the manliest game.

Fallout 3, max unarmed, bloody mess perk. Making limbs fly off and turn inside out with your barehands is satisfying AND manly.

Oblivion and Fallout 3 allow you to FISTFIGHT BEARS BUCK-NAKED.

And in Oblivion you can learn how to summon bears to do your bidding, and steal their souls.


In many turn-based RPGs there are moments of awesome manliness, like suplexing trains and beating the Devil into submission.


Overlord and Overlord 2 let you enslave an entire nation and bend them to your will with your demonic, Gremlin-esque horde.

Condemned: Criminal Origins has incredibly manly melee combat, and the sequel pits you against a giant, evil bear.

Tekken lets you fist-fight bears as well.


Just look at a game and do a checklist:

Can I become all-powerful?

Can I enslave other beings to do my will?

Are bears involved?

If they include any of those things, or any combination, it is a Manly Game.
