So apparently Activation and Infinity Ward are going to charge $15 dollars for the upcoming Stimulus Map Pack. Thats $3 dollars a map which is the standard on xbox live, 3 maps for $10 dollars, 5 maps $15 dollars. I personally think that is too expensive, especially when two of the maps are remakes from Call of Duty 4. I wasn't planning on buying it, and this is just the final nail in the coffin for me. What do you think about the price point? And will you buy it?

I wouldn't buy it but I don't have the game anyway. But I mean that based on principal that I agree with you, not paying that much just for maps.

What now? Maps from COD4? I like the sound of that.

Edit: Apparently one of the maps is 'Crash'. My favorite map...

Aaah... must... not... re-install...

But then I saw Overgrown and I was all :]

Yeah, I think I have to get it now, but the price is just exorbitant.

I sure as hell won't be be buying it. I know Infinity Ward and Activision have been in the crap a lot lately but they need to reduce the price.

So skimping at buying multiplayer maps that one is likely play over and over again is a good idea, yet society is completely fine with candy bars being 2 bucks a pop despite containing equivalent nutritional properties to a rock?

Seriously though, considering the $60 price tag that MW2 had, 3 bucks is roughly right as the percentage of the game that is takes up. The campaign by itself would cost about $30 nowadays, and there are 16 multiplayer maps so that divides into roughly 1.80 a map, so you're only paying 1.20 extra for maps that weren't even in the base game to start with. In my opinion, that's quite decent a deal.

I'm seriously tired of the map packs, at least make it to where you don't have to buy new maps just to play multiplayer. I mean I just spent $60 for your game, now you want more, over my dead body
