Voted a few hours ago, A few matchups seemed different to the original brackets, but that may just be my bad memory
I assure you, last year, 4chan was only brought in as a last resort to get rid of Zynga. The sooner we get Zynga out of the running this year, the less likely we'll have to resort to that.Owlslayer said:We'll see, though i do have my suspicions. But you know, some things can change.Sean Strife said:You KNOW Zynga's gonna do it: they did it last year. Hell, it took Valve advertising on Steam (plus everybody on the Escapist and, yes, 4chan) to finally stop the Zynga machine. At least this year, we know what we're up against.Owlslayer said:Well, may the best developer win. Or in some cases, the one with the biggest number of loyal followers.
Anyways, looking forward to the next rounds. Wonder if any other developers will market the contest in their game this year? i guess we'll see.

I'm pretty sure in the year 2009, only Turbine (D&D:Online, Lotrnline) used in-game advertising, and won. Now, i didn't know what The Escapist was at that time, so I'm not that certain about it. But the next year (the last), didn't it lose in the first round, and didn't advertise at all?
Anyways, my point is: nothing's certain in this showdown. Some things are almost totally sure, but not completely. Maybe Zynga will play nice this year.
Also, I'm not a FarmViller myself, but if Zynga wanted to advertise, wouldn't it do it right now? Or, i suppose it's a bit too early if the voting just begun an hour or so ago.
And one more thing: i hope 4chan won't be invited this time. They kinda trolled and gore/porn-spammed the living hell out of the final versus thread...quite nasty.
Gotta agree with ya there, pal. My vote's going to Cryptic, at least in Round 1. As long as people don't start bothering 4chan, everything's just kittens and sunshine.Sean Strife said:I assure you, last year, 4chan was only brought in as a last resort to get rid of Zynga. Even though I do go to 4chan once in a while, I have to agree with this.Owlslayer said:Gotta agree with ya there, pal. My vote's going to Cryptic, at least in Round 1. The thing is, the bracket you filled up a few days ago was sort of a foretelling. You filled it how you thought the contest will play out, who will go to the next round, who will fail and who will win.ManaAdvent said:Okay, I'm a bit confused. I have already filled out my bracket and got a message for it a couple days back. Does this mean I have to do it all over again?
I'm having the same problem, I am unable to vote on the official bracket. there are no "vote" buttons under each developer logo and no names are turned yellow and the center still says "click here to being" like i havent done anything yet.Spinwhiz said:Gxas said:It seems that filling out my bracket beforehand cast my votes already.
I was under the impression that I could vote twice. Teach me to read more carefully next time.Armored Prayer said:I did my voting back when filling out my bracket.
Now I'll do my semi tradition of posting my opinions in each thread.Something may be messed up. You should have to go through each match-up again on the Official bracket for your votes to count. Please try that and let me know what happens. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tournaments/standings/5funksobeefy said:we vote with our brackets? Thats odd, I didnt know that
