Unless some idiot takes all these icons too seriously, to the point where he/she avoid a banana peel and weaves into oncoming traffic, I don't see the harm in it.

My thoughts as well, they should probably remove the banana peel just in case (or replace it with a coin or something). Also the star should probably be removed... it could cause a few problems...

I love the part about the bike riders swerving around the banana. That is a rather fanstastically crative use for a bike lane and I think that the city should keep the powerups there. I mean it isn't doing any harm to anyone!

Impressive work on the icons too. Very crisp, it looks like whoever did it put a decent amount of effort into it. I think it's enough to classify it as "Sidewalk Art" and not "vandalism"
