Mario Kart Wiis missing Double Dash

I don't know with you guys, but I thought Mario Kart Double Dash was brilliant. And one thing I like especially much about it was the "double" part. You know, the part where you have your friend sitting next to you flinging shells and what not. I loved that part. I was a total sucker.

Later on I got a Wii. I bought the MKWii and three controllers right away. Kind of expecting for this fun Double stuff to be even greater.
But as it turns out there were nothing like this. Honestly it was a dire dissapointment.

I mean there must be several ways they could intergrate this perfectly into the wii. It would just have been so awsome being the one that actually sat behind the wiil (=P) with the other one throwing off whatever you grabbed

What about you? Do you prefer it without the "Double", or would you like to have seen that included.

I agree, DD was the best in the series. If you could stick online on DD, and port it to the Wii, it'd be amazing.

The 'double' part was all that was missing from MK Wii. It is quite a big disappointment but aside from that MK Wii is my favourite in the series because of the good track selection, large variety of characters and karts (including really good mii implementation), the online and the controller which makes driving twice as fun imo. Of course, if there had been some co-op the game would be even better. I don't know why they chose to leave it out of the game, certainly seems like a bad idea but I can live with how it is.

Agreed indeed. It is still a great game. They are making progress (As one would expect, this being a sequel kinda thingy), but I just really missed the double part. The rest was fun. Especially the wheeling. I love to use the wheel. And I concur on that the "team" option is not too much of a co-op

DD has the best battle mode, but racing felt slow, even on 150cc and the racing AI is predictably frustrating.

Well .. I mean .. I thought the Wii was kinda good ... It had old classics and new maps. ALso ... Some cars were good. And if it'd only contain DD it'd be perfect .. Or at least very, very good.

I thought double dash was the weakest of the series actually. Personally I would stick the 64 version online for all to play, that'd still get quite a good run.
