Marmite games

i noticed a lot of games recently instead of people saying 'its ok' or 'not as good as i thought', it seems that more people are 'OMFG TTS SHEEEEEEEEET' or 'OMFG ITS GR8!!!1!'


why do you think that a lot of games now seem to be 'marmite games' [either love it or hate it not inbetween]

examples include Halo 3, Flower, Little Big Planet, Mirrors Edge, Assassins Creed

People are just lazy. Halo, is a crap FPS, but has a good Multi-player mode, LBP, well... its a wonderful idea, and it can still be pulled out, they tried to make the epic of side scrolling platforms, no one told them Super Mario Bro.s 3 had already come out apparently. Mirrors Edge has a great design, but it would be cool if something like that was adapted to an actual FPS, or they maned up and made Ninja Warrior the game. As far as Assassins Creed goes.... just make that into a Batman game, honestly, it is what it is trying to be, just, with assassinations... and .... medieval ... guys.
