Yes, the older cartoons are much better than anything they're currently putting out.

I watched a marathon of wolverine and the xmen while playing psp high.

i was surprised at how many actual events they took from the comics. mystique was logans old lover!

they even had the mutant island!

90s were better but it seems the writers were actually trying to make a good cartoon despite all the censorship.

i'm sorry but despite the huge amount of cheese, how cool was the X-Men theme tune. even makes the mighty morphin' power rangers theme look tame.

I prefer the older X-men, mostly because of the artwork was rather good.

Not, not to say that the new stuff is any good, but if I have to watch Spectacular Spider man one more time I'll hang myself x.x

Seriously, first major problem? the mole, 2nd, everything else in my opinion.

the Spiderman series itself always made me feel bad for Spiderman...then it hit me that why the hell did he get like that many times when you have a stunning redhead and a white-haired bombshell fighting for you the entire time x.x;; (plus back in the day-day he dated a few other blondes and another redhead named Firestar).

Dunno about you, but if anybody had a reason to cry, it really, really, really wasn't Peter.

I refuse to accept that abomination of a show they have on tv right now. So the 90s, duh.

I think a Deadpool show wouldn't be able to do him justice. If you need a reason why, click that first link again and watch the feces that is "The Super Hero Squad".

The problem is that kids nowadays are being raised to be perpetually 5 years old. Rather than getting more mature cartoons as they go on.

"X-Men: The Animated Series" is, by far, one of the greatest comic-book cartoons of all time (easily rivaling "Batman: The Animated Series", imo) and it's only gotten worse since then ("X-Men Evolution" was passable, but barely, and "Wolverine and the X-Men" feels like a shameless cash-in... even if it DOES feature Deadpoll's awesome-self at times).
The failed "Iron Man" and "Silver Surfer" series were pretty damned good, too.

Yeah. They've gotten worse.

I don't know, the current Spectacular Spider-man is quite groovy. But the ninetees were just full of win. So I'm going to have to say .... euh ... 90's!

Generally I would say the 90's cartoons were better. However Wolverine and the X-Men was looking quite promising. As for that Marvel Super Hero Squad Show, I won't touch that with a 70 foot pole.

Of course the 90's ones were better, my whole knowledge of the universe stems from them. In all fairness that isn't a whole lot, but it's something.

Also not just Marvel, but the DC Batman animated series was badass too.

at that time there wasn't so much Censorship as now.
Seriously? Not even close.
In the 90's Soccer Moms were freaking out about violence in cartoons to the point where shows like Tom and Jerry were being taken off the air because they were deemed too violent for kids. In the 90's Spiderman series they weren't allowed to say the word "death" because of the association kids might make (ooh I saw a new word, lets see what it means!) and all the guns in the scripts were replaced with lazers so there would be no blood. They even changed the plot and made Mary Jane disappear through a portal instead of having Gwen Stacy fall off a bridge and die like she was supposed to.

Don't get me wrong, loved all the 90's stuff way more than today's series, but censorship was far worse back then. It was back when everyone was blaming the media for youth violence. People still do mind you but most of us agree that parents are to blame now not movies and games and TV.

I enjoyed the Spiderman and the X-Men animated cartoons in the 90's.

As for a Deadpool cartoon, it would have to be either on the Syfy channel's prime time lineup, or Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Maybe Spike TV.

I like to call the 90s Marvel Cartoons B.MAV. (before mothers against violence) Marvel cartoons

Also lets not forget that CGI Spider-man that came out after Spider-man 2 made for Mtv

ps who else missies THE MAXX
