So I recently read an article on IGN about how how Marvel is forming it's own television division (Or something to that effect, look the article was long.) And it got me thinking about ideas for Marvel TV shows. I posted my comment on the matter and I am indeed so proud of my GARGANTUAN comment that I had to post it here so that you could all enjoy it. Oh yeah, and to get your opinions on the matter.
That's my thoughts on the matter. What do you think about the idea of Marvel TV shows? What shows would YOU like to see? Where do you stand on the idea of keeping with the movie continuity?

I think that the key things to remember here are, budget, popularity, and continuity.
First off, budget is a HUGE issue. It will certainly factor into which series are developed. A show that centers around "showy" heroes like say Doctor Strange or Thor probably wouldn't be a good idea, because they require large SFX and costume budgets. A more grounded hero, like say Daredevil or Moon Knight would work better because all they require is some solid fight scenes.
Popularity is another issue, they can't develop a series around a character only to decide a couple of years later that they want to make a big budget movie. So the best idea is to go with characters that aren't really popular enough to get a movie, but who still have name recognition with a decent chunk of people. Again characters like Daredevil or Moon Knight would be perfect.
Also a factor is continuity, how these shows will tie into the larger Marvel Movie universe. I'll just give my suggestion on the matter as there's not a lot to discuss. Simply put, live-action series should be in the movie continuity, cartoons can each have their own self-contained continuities, as that way you don't have to explain why cartoon Wolverine is tearing through giant mecha-scorpions with ease while movie Wolverine is having trouble fending off a few gun-toting goons.
Also, while IGN seems to have something of a hard-on for highly serialized shows like Lost and Heroes, I really am not a fan of them. However, I do realize that a purely standalone series probably wouldn't be the best idea. In my humble opinion a series in the vein of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine would be ideal. DS9 managed to have a strong overarching plot while still allowing plenty of unrelated episodes by keeping the longer plots in the background. The larger events were talked about by the characters, yet only came to the forefront when there was a logical reason for it.
As for what series should be made, I'll give them rapid fire. Live action: Daredevil, Moon Knight, maybe Alias or something with a larger cast (nothing really comes to mind immediately.). Cartoons: Spider-Man obviously, the X-Men too, and maybe an Avengers series released to coincide with the movie.
