Marvel Films

Having just found this out, I was wandering if anyone else knew more about the upcoming Marvel films, that are going to then be made into an Avengers movie series.So far they have:

• Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr.
  Thor - Chris Hemsworth
  Captain America (no actor signed on yet, that I could find anyway)
  Black Widow - Scarlet Johansson
  Nick Fury - Samuel L. Jackson
  War Machine - Don Cheadle (replacing Terrance Howard)
  Whiplash - Micky Rourke
  Hulk - Edward Norton (not confirmed)

And it looks like when it is released it will be very cool. So if anyone has anymore information, it would be appreciated. Jon Favreau seems to be directing all of these films except Thor, which is being directed by Kenneth Branagh.

I am aware that this is quite early, considering they aren't being released until about 2012, but its something to look forward too.

Ok, Lou Ferrigno is definitely not Thor. Chris Hemsworth (Kirk's father in Star Trek) was recently signed on for the role.

I want to know who's going to play Captian America already. I had heard a rumor that they were going to CGI him in to the film iif they couldn't find anyone to fit the role.

That's ludicrous. Marvel Studios wouldn't be so callous with that type of role, and with one of their biggest characters. At any rate, Captain America will be gracing the screen prior to the Avengers, in 2011. The movie is called "The First Avenger: Captain America". A bit long winded, but at least he gets his own flick.

I don't think they have him yet, although the first film is a WW2 period piece.

I thought War Machine was going to be in Iron Man 2, not have his own film.

From what I've heard in the rumor mill anyways, in that Avengers lineup, they wanted to have "She-Hulk" if Norton would do the Hulk, and that for the human side of her, they wanted to loop in Beyonce, or however the hell her name is spelled.
