No, He was made into a super soldier to fight IN WWII, he was then lost by being frozen in the freezing waters of the North Atlantic. He was later found again and thawed out.
There is a lot more to this then what I have been able to say, but in a nutshell... he is older.

I was reading through that link, and I'm angry to see comic writers being lazy hacks again. I remember reading it the series when they killed off Steve Rogers and that made a very good story line, but there was a rebirth after? Gah, that shit always drives me bananas.

Although these movies sound cool, i am wouldn't be surprised to see the comic book movie bubble bursting pretty soon.

I'm going to have to agree that while Tommy Lee Jones in a military role just fits, James McAvoy however, does not strike me as a young Charles Xavier. I'm also skeptical about Matthew Vaughn directing X-Men First Class. Sigh.

My first exposure to James McAvoy was his role as Leto in the Sci Fi Dune/Children of Dune miniseries. He was excellent in those, and was great in Wanted, even though that movie was a ton of cheese. I also thought Atonement was surprisingly good

Batman forever? Ouch, not a good start. And I think they should of recast Patrick Stuart has Charles Xavier, he was him in the last 4 movies.
"...in X-Men: First Class, which depicts the early days of the X-Men..."

Patrick Stuart can't play a thirty-something Prof. X
Patrick Stewart can play anything. Hell, they could cast him as Jean Grey and he'd still pull it off.
Gurney Halleck!

There is a rumour that Nathan Fillion will be starring in the smaller budget avengers film Ant Man, directed by Sean of the Dead director Edgar Wright.

Why is Nathan Fillion not cast in any of these? I don't understand.
It's very likely he's going to be in the main avengers movie and then have a spin-off if popular:

But I don't understand why nobody is celebrating this, even if it just turns out to be a rumor.
