While I am upset that Marvel and Edgar Wright couldn't work things out, its good to hear that the movie is back on track. Just hope it turns out great. Hopefully, we'll get some more info come SDCC.

From the sound of the description this does not sound like the case, it sounds like it'll be focusing more on Scott Lang in the role as Ant-Man rather than Hank, and I see no mention of Wasp. It'll likely turn out to be good, but from what it seems, this is not the Ant-Man (and Wasp) film I was hoping to see.
Rumor is that in the movie as originally planned Janet Pym would be Michael Douglas's Hank Pym's daughter, and possibly played by Evangeline Lily.

Of course there are also rumors that everyone who has seen the original script has declared it "un-salvageable", which is really scary. Reports are vague on whether they are talking about Wrights script, Disney's rewrite attempt or both and all of the above. Hence why McCay was brought in.

This movie was already dead. All they've done is put a bullet in the brain and set the corpse on fire to prevent any reanimation.
