alright im doin a Captain America mission And i have to do a combo out of a cancel. My only problem is what the hell is a cancel? please help.

P.S. How the fuck do you block?

If it's anything like SF IV, holding backwards is blocking, but don't ask me about cancel, because I never got THAT deep into it.

You block by moving backwards.

As for the cancel, fuck if I know. The missions are freaking stupid, and provide very, very little info on how to actually do the stuff. Yeah they tell you the buttons, but not timing or how it should look or anything.

Is it just me, or is the overall MvC control scheme extremely bizarre, clunky, and unwieldy?

This is purely a guess, so it's likely I'm wrong, but I think if you start inputing a command in the middle of an attack animation, that's a cancel. At least that's what I've gathered from being able to do a few of the missions.

A cancel is doing another move during the animation of a move. (ie. doing a Shoryuken then right as its going up into the air, do the inputs for a Hadoken or your Super move)

You block by moving away from your opponent while they are attacking.
