I love the Mass Effect DLC. Bring Down the Sky, Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker are all great additions to both games.

One thing that was said about Mass Effect 2 was that the DLC was to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3. This was intended as a way of saying "new content to tide you over till the next game".

But what if the DLC actually bridged the story between the two? Why not make the Overlord and Shadow Broker DLCs occur only after you've finished the main story? They give you the option of staying on the Normandy and completing unfinished assignments, so adding post story DLC would give them a great incentive to stick around.

Well Shadow Broker has dialogue that accomodates characters who have already defeated the collectors.

As far as further DLC goes, maybe something regarding the Quarians and the anti-Reaper geth like Legion? I think that could be cool, as I think the conflict between the geth and the quarians is a fascinating dilemna with many equally valid perspectives.

I'm pretty sure Shadow Broker is intended to take place between the events of ME2 and ME3.

Although you can of course play it half way through the plot of ME2 if you want.

Granted, there are some continuity difficulties there.

Nope, the dialogue referencing the main plot is slightly different if you play through it before completing the game proper.

Shadow Broker is some amazing gameplay and story (my Shep is a Liara lover). Without giving anything away, I can say fighting the first "boss" of it was highly entertaining, especially since I played as a Vanguard.

As for future DLC, they are planning for more plot-heavy stuff to bridge the gap between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

My wishes involve uncovering some more mysteries or revisiting developing plots:
-Concerning the keepers. I'm aware of everything said about them from Vigil, Chorban, and Sovereign, but they're still pretty shady.

-How I learned to love the dying sun: A follow-up on the events on Haestrom. I really want to know what's going on there.

-The return of Kal'Reegar: In his few moments in the game, he won me over. I want him to be a party member for Mass Effect 3. If they can't do that, a DLC package would suffice...a little.

-Geth vs. Geth vs. Quarians: The most interesting side plot of the series in my opinion. I think this conflict could justify a series of its' own. But I'd love to see more of the Legion Geth, Heretic Geth (if any remain), and Quarian conflict.

-A United Tuchanka: A story that could involve a battle against Krogan resistant to the unification of the clans. By the end, we could have Wrex ready to join us in the future.

-Kahlee Sanders and David Anderson: We know Anderson from the games, but he and Kahlee Sanders are featured heavily in all three books so far. Anderson has shown in the novels (and one of the Shadow Broker videos) that he still has some fight in him. Fighting alongside him in any capacity would be amazing.

-A reunion with Kaidan or Ashley: Liara fans have Shadow Broker. It only seems fair.

The cast of characters in the universe is so deep and interesting, BioWare could go in many directions and it would please me.
