i found the plot boring, the gameplay EXTREMELY slow paced and repetitive, the characters were unlikeable and Xenophilia is REALLY not me, and the only human female whos ****able shares name with a certain Evil Dead character.

and since ME2 pretty much copy-pasted that and polished the graphics a bit, it made the characters and plot even more boring and unlikeable.

as soon as i got tired of ME2, i swiftly turned to my PS3 and started playing Dragon Age again.
A copy-paste?! Fár from it. They completely revamped the inventory and upgrade system, made the dialogue system more dynamic and fluent, majorly overhauled the exploration system, added a loyalty system for squad members and upgraded the combat system a LOT; more fluent, better damage system, easier access to powers. ME2 is obviously still a sequel, but far from a simple copy-paste. Whether you like the changes or not (scanning...ugh), it's a simple fact that ME2 changed quite a bit.

As for the combat, I find it strange that you do like Dragon Age, which has far slower combat than ME/ME2, but hate ME2 for it's apparent slow combat. I never had such an experience, maybe it's because I played Vanguard, not your most stationary class. I kept dashing from cover to cover, taking out enemies at long rage with my pistol, then Charged the more close-ranged enemies with my shotgun or flanked people and straffed them with my SMG. And that's not even mentioning the wide array of powers you have at your disposal from all your team members and of course yourself. You can combine their effects, execute complex plans to quickly take down a group of people or just rush their asses and shoot them to bits.

I'm pretty surprised you call that slow-paced and repetitive. Maybe you were just, as the old internet saying goes, 'doing it wrong'. Or you played a sniper, those guys are evidently slow paced, rather stationary killers. But with all those options to kill someone at your disposal, how can it really be repetitive?

As for the characters and story, that's taste I guess, although again I find your liking of Dragon Age compared to your detest of ME rather surprising, as I'm not seeing a bigger degree of complexity in DA:O's story compared to ME's story.

And you don't have to bang the alien (Tali), you can always stick to Miranda or Jack, or flirt with Kelly. Or don't do anything at all. You're not forced to do anything in the game.

Well its a little late for Chris now anyway, they traded in their copy already XD

I always kept moving as a sentinel(vanguard?), keeping up tech shielding, and relying on my trusty heavy pistol for good headshots and then hitting them with a warp. then i picked up machine gun training and, ha ha :3

I think it was about 16 hours on my first. I'm on my second, and I'm on about 17 and a half hours.

Only one playthrough of about 20 or so hours.

Damn you University! Why must you always interfere?

One playthrough, clocking out at 45 hours. I like to think I was thorough. I'm gonna replay ME1 a couple of times to craft some new characters to bring forward.

I've only gone through one full playthrough, one quick one, I've tried out most of the characters. I even went through about 10 hours as a female adept, but then I realized I wanted to go all shooty shooty, so I changed my class to soldier.

I would have more playthroughs, but I'm back in ME 1, I want to make a perfect runthrough before I jump back in to ME 2.

I'm on my 3rd playthrough now. First playthrough was 38 hours due to exploration etc. 2nd playthrough was much shorter, as I was deliberately doing the evil ending. (muhahaha)

3rd playthrough now on insane, going to be a complete...completionist. Guestimate roughly another 35-40 hours with this.

Possibly do a 4th playthrough for Tali romance....

Then a 5th for a save with the collector base intact...

First playthrough on Hardcore Soldier- 29.5 hours.
Second playthrough, Hardcore Biotic- 15 hours, still haven't beaten it. I'm doing a ton of sidequests on that guy.

I'd say maybe 45 hours on it? Completed on Normal difficulty with all sidequests (as far as I could tell) at around 30, another another playthrough on Veteran.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. If you're able to complete two playthroughs in less than 30 hours, you're missing more than half the content.

1 complete playthrough, total play time across careers approximately 60 hours.

I just started on my Insanity run with my "Diamond" Erika Shepard (she's a Sentinel instead of an Infiltrator, extra genetic modification). I really need to upgrade that tech armor...

I only did one playthrough on Veteran doing almost everything and nobody died. I only did one playthrough because I don't like playing a game again unless at least a month or two have passed.
