They'll go much more into action? Doesn't sound good.
I think they mean the combat in Mass Effect wasn't as varied as they might have liked it to be.

Well they said something about weapons that could kill enemies multiple times, just doesn't sound like an rpg to me. I thought the first was good but it was basically a shooter with very little RPG elements, seems to stay that way.

I still need to finish ME1, I should really get on with that.

Looking forward to the next part of the saga though, although the first part hasn't exactly gripped me by the testicles and made me it's woman, so to speak.

God i hope they don't kill him off.. My theories... The huge part of the first game was about just how Unique and great Shepard was, he's the first human Spectre, he destroyed a reaper, and pledged to defeat the reaper enemy, i can't imagine them killing him, what will most likely happen is

A. You get to choose if he lives or dies. This would be a very groundbreaking plot point, and Mass Effect is all about continuing one way or the other.

B. He goes into hiding until the third game, for an unknown reason.

C. This is bull and he doesn't die...

EDIT: D. Gets killed but comes back as a cyborg

I kind of like the first idea, but honestly i hope they don't attempt to mess with his life

They're just teasing us about Shep's death. They can't just kill him off. He's the saviour of the galaxy, there's no one else to play as.
How so, its a third person game, so its not like you can't just control another character.
I've spent an hour creating him and I'm really attached to him. And I'm not the only one.
I don't want to play as a different character. This is Shepard's story. Many people would be extremely upset about his death.
GONNA SPOIL THIS WHOLE PLOT RIGHT NOW.

Garuntee you, Shepard is killed and brought back as some kinda cyborg geth thing. Think about how it's depicted. Corporal Shepard- KIA.. And then you see the Geths face. Something happens, his brain gets downloaded into the Geth. Perhaps he becomes a new Geth leader and splits their loyalty to the reapers.
Oh.. I like it gonna add that to my list

This is pretty cruel seeing as we won't be able to play for at least a year.

Anyway, I seriously hope Shepard doesn't die, because I can honestly say it's the first rpg character I've ever been really attached too.
However, if they keep true everything in there, this should be a pretty kickass game.

Very ambigious about Shepard... Don't like the sound of that. If you poured a lot of yourself into it like I did, it sounds like Bioware just want to kill you off.

Although I like the sound of having a Salarian on board the team. Finally!

Do you play as this Geth ally? Is he perhaps Shepard's replacement? Do they programme his personnality into it? That sounds sci-fi enough.

So many questions still remain! That's it for me, though. I'm not going to look at any more Mass Effect 2 press releases. I want to find out the rest for myself in the final game. For Dead Space, I looked at every single press release, and it ruined nearly everything about the game for me. I honestly think I would've liked that game a whole lot more if I'd just stayed away from the over-abundance of spoilers in the Dev Diaries and the like.
I have to agree, I intend to shut myself away from any source of information regarding ME2, it'll make it that much better.

I will be pretty disappointed if they kill Shepherd off or try to bring him back as a cyborg, considering there's been zero evidence up to this point that you could upload a personality into an artificial intelligence. They all seem to develop their personalities organically, if you pardon the term.

That being said, I'm very excited about this game. Mass Effect's my favorite game for the 360 right now, and I have faith that BioWare will continue expanding on the merits of it. They haven't let me down yet. I'm looking forward to the new aliens and potential squad members, but I hope they'll let some of the cast from the last game return. I grew attached to Wrex and Tali, and I'd be sad to see them leave.
