Mass Effect 2 Issue: Importing

Yeah. I know I'm late to the party,but whatever. My problem is that I beat Mass Effect 1 litteraly 15 minutes ago. When I started up Mass Effect 2,and selected "Import ME1 Character",I was thoroughly pissed when the list was empty.

Just so ya know,I'm running the PC version of both games. Any clue on how to fix this? I wanna get this cleared up ASAP.

On the ME2 launcher, click the "configure" button to load the configuration utility. Then go to "save games" and click the import button. Point it to your ME1 save directory.
